Suggest Treatment For Abscessed Tooth

Question: I have an abscessed tooth and I cant get to the dentist for a few days should I be taking antibiotics in th mean time? I so can you prescribe them for me ? It is very painful ,too .

I read it carefully and I understand your concern.

If you are sure that your tooth is abscessed you can use Amoxicillin 1000mg twice/day for 5 days.
We cannot prescribe it because it won't be valuable in your local pharmacy.

Also you can take Ibuprofen 400mg every 6 hours for the pain.

Hello,

You may find it in the local pharmacy. Some countries give it without a prescription. Some sell it in places where other over the counter medicines are found because even if it is not an over the counter medicine it is very used as an antibiotic.
