Suggest Treatment For Accidental Consumption Of Disinfectant

the person is needed to Visit the nearest ER at the earliest....
Detailed Answer:
Hello xxxxxxxxxx, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern..
Now Lysol mainly contains poly-hydrocarbon compounds along with several alkalies and, if consumed , are potent to cause various degree of burns and erosion of the gastric mucosa as well as food-pipe mucosa along with chemical pneumonitis(due to indirect inhalational injury) as well as hematologic abnormalities causing Renal damage and several other complications which are all medical emergency ..
There is no home remedy for these and the only solution to this problem is to take the person to your nearest ER/Urgent care to get prompt medical attention at the earliest(calling Poison control will again delay this process, so it's better not to waste more time in this regard)..
In the meanwhile make sure the person doesn't eat/drink anything , don't let the person vomit otherwise it'll further complicate the injury process..
Prognosis is largely dependent on how much content was consumed and how quickly the person was taken to the ER..
No need to panic, just take the person to the ER, where they'll run a few tests (including Blood Gas analysis, Chest X-ray, EKG, an UGI Endoscopy-if needed) along with monitor the person for any further complications and manage accordingly..
Keep the person alert in the meanwhile, try to keep the person in fresh air as much as possible..
Let me know if you have any further queries in this regard..
Also do let me know how he/she stays in the due course..
My Best Wishes
Kind Regards

you still need to take him to your nearest ER at the earliest....
Detailed Answer:
Dear xxxxxxxxxxxx, Welcome Back..
Thanks for following up..
Now as I've already explained the potential after effects of the toxic materials, you still need to take him to your nearest ER for a detailed physical examination..
I've also described the possible side effects of puking as well as chemical pneumonitis (they are not immediately seen, but actually takes 24-48 hrs to develop)..
Even though there was immediate puking still there's some chance that few droplets of the toxins got in..
So it's always advisable to get examined at the earliest to rule out any future complications..
The choice of tests and investigations are entire dependent on the findings, so at first you need to take him to the Urgent care where, only after thorough physical examinations, they'll decide what all needed to be done..
As per your description, it shouldn't cause much trouble, but still a complete physical evaluation is must for future well being..
Please let me know how he stays in the due course..
Take Care
Kind Regards

You're always welcome to have my suggestions..
