Brief Answer:
Advised Zytee gel
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
I would like to know have you noticed any blisters.
Do you have redness and swelling of tongue?
Here my suggestions:
I suggest you apply Zytee gel or Oragel, 10 minutes before having food. You can apply 4-6 times a day. Tablet Ibuprofen 400 mg for pain, take it sparingly.
Ice cubes, ice cream may help you.
Keep a water bottle with you and drink sips of cool water at every 15 minutes.
Avoid spicy food, hot beverages and eat yogurt or curd. Sprinkle sugar particles on your tongue.
Eat soft food.
Continue salt and cold water gargles.
Remember it will take at least one week time to heal.
If you have any queries I will be happy to help you.
Thank you.

Thanks a lot. Can I swallow Oragel, once it is applied on the tongue? I dont feel like eating solid foods, so relying on yogurt and cold milk. I am not feeling hungry, though (!!). blisters are not there and no swelling. It has become white as I am not able to clean it and the sides/edges of the tongue are red (usual red) but like withered.
thank you,

Brief Answer:
Yes
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Yes, if you swallow, it will not harm you.
First you rinse your mouth with cold water to get rid of any particles or patches; you can repeat it after some time. No need to worry whiteness will go slowly.
If you have gastric problem or acid reflux I suggest you pantoprazole 40 mg, 30 minutes before food with empty stomach for one week. Sometimes acidity increase burning sensation in throat as well.
