Suggest Treatment For Aches On One Side Of The Face
It can be related/It has to be observed.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.
If you would have presented to me as an outpatient,I would have told you that it can be related to cold and upper respiratory tract infection,if you have a such a clinical history. However,it may be an episode of primary headache like 'Migraine',but its early to say since there is no past history for the same.Sometimes, Stress headache can mimic this presentation. Please tell a few details-
1)Do you have nausea or vomiting associated?
2)Does the headache increases on exposure to light or sound?
3)Do you have redness of left eye and excessive lacrimation from the left eye?
Though, mild analgesics like paracetamol can be taken and headache has to be observed, whether it persists or not.If it persists, then it may need an evaluation. However,at this point-no definite diagnosis for this one.
Please follow-up as and when required.
If you have no follow-up questions, please close the thread-rate it and write a review.Your rating will be of help to me.

Firstly thanks for your detailed revert. With regards to your queries raised, please note my reverts as mentioned below:
1. No vomit or nausea associated
2. Yes, headache increases a bit on exposure to sound and light.
3. Yes, eye is slightly red and have become a little small and there is excess lacrimation as well.
Kindly advise. Considering the above, should I take a paracetamol now to control the pain (more irritating than pain but manageable).
Regards,
XXXX
Take adequate sleep and observe. If it persists,it will need evaluation.

Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being in follow-up and telling the required details.
With your clinical history in background,I would suggest you to have adequate sleep after taking 500 mg of Paracetamol. If the headache persists even after sleep or if you are not able to sleep at all due to severity of headache, please visit a neurologist or an eye specialist so that they can examine for any abnormalities in eye movements. This is important because you said that your left eye is small. If it definitely is,your neurological or eye examination is warranted and you may even need to undergo a Brain imaging like Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) to rule out any intracranial pathology.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have some follow-up questions,I shall be glad to answer else, please close the thread-rate it and write a review.Your rating will be of help to me.
