Question: I just had a bad choking spell (choked while drinking water from bottle). Fortunately, one of the tenants in my apartment heard me and came to my rescue. Right side of throat now feels sore. I have sleep apnea (mild case, doctor has done two surgeries to bring out down, said last study showed 9 partial apneas per hour and pressure is at 7). Can I use CPAP machine after choking spell? Also, am taking Predisone 20 mg twice a day for allergic reaction (P.A. thinks was reaction to Losartan). Was taking dosage pack. (At 1st just discontinued Losartan and then said to take Benedryl). Dosagepak worked for one day, then had severe relapse so gave injection and changed to Predisone today (total pill total 14) and also gave injection. (Taking Benadryl as needed), last took around 10 p.m. Normally would take Benadryl at 2 a.m. this morning and Predisone and Allegra in morning. Allergies are better (previously had swollen tongue, lips, neck, and under eyes). But still have trouble breathing sometimes. Have to swallow to breath (was much worse earlier, had to swallow sometimes 10 seconds. Now, not as often and usually only 2 or 3 seconds). Normally wouldn't drink or eat anything for quite a while, but perhaps need allergy meds. How long should wait before drinking? (Or eat anything? though not planning to eat anything rest of this evening) FYI - do have acid reflux, controlled with Omeprazole.Tried searching archives, but went got to my question said security certificate was not valid.
