Brief Answer:
Blood tests

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Welcome to HCM,

Since she has developed acne and facial hair it is important that you we rule out any other concerns. Blood test to check for testosterone and DHEA and serum hormone binding Globulin (SMBG) is necessary. These will differentiate is its due to PCOS which may have reoccurred or a new hormonal problem

If the test point it as polycystic ovary (PCOS) and not some other hormonal imbalance, then the best way to suppress the PCOS would be to take oral contraceptive pills like Dianette or Crimson these will not only help with the cyst but also decrease acne and facial hair.

Has she also gained a lot of weight in this period?

Hope this helps.
Regards.
