Suggest Treatment For Acne Around Jawline And Forehead
Oral and topical antiacne preparations
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I have gone through your query and I have understood it.
If I was the treating doctor I would suggest an Oral antiacne antibiotic e.g doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for at least 2-4 weeks.
Topically you may apply an antiacne antibacterial gel e.g either clindamycin 1% gel or benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel during day time. At night you may apply adapalene 0.1 % gel over the whole of affected area.
A gentle cleanser for face wash i.e cetaphil cleansing lotion is what I would suggest, to be used twice daily.
These are all prescription medications and should be used under supervision of a dermatologist. Therefore I suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your region for the needful.
Regards
I would suggest you to use adapalene instead of tretinoin
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
I have reviewed the current medications as well as the Images.
The medications seem fine to me according the severity of acne, except that I would suggest you to use adapalene 0.1% gel (i.e adaferin gel) instead of tretin because of excessive dryness. Also, it is fine to continue with doxycycline as it would take care of the inflammatory acne i.e papules. Medications for acne usually take around 2 weeks to produce noticeable results, therefore I suggest you to continue with these.
