Brief Answer:
Zolmitriptan nasal spray can be used.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

For acute migraine attacks, zolmitriptan nasal spray (Zolmist) is effective. If this also does not work, then, it is better to take him to the emergency room and get a tramadol injection administered.

Subsequently, a preventive treatment should also be started to prevent the headaches in future.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Brief Answer:
It can be used straight away.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

Zolmitriptan nasal spray can be taken straightaway when there is migraine headache.

Also, if he gets frequent headaches, he should be on preventive medications such as propranolol or topiramate tablets to reduce the frequency and severity of headaches.
