Suggest Treatment For Acute Stomach Cramps
Question: I've been suffering from acute stomach cramping for the last 23 days. It hurts upon movement. As soon as I lay down, it stops. Wait 30 or 40 minutes, get up and it starts again. Eating, hours of sleep are not affected at all. I don't get it but the cramping is horrific, not at all in lower abdomen. Not constipated, no allergies, no injuries. The only squirrely thing is 2 days prior I had a spinal pain stimulator put in. At first, this stomach pain was attributed to the stomach muscle contractions of setting the stimulator but surgeon has never seen it last for 3 weeks. I'm at a loss.

As per the history the pains looks to be related to the nerve compression at the spinal nerve causing the pain that is not related to the intestines, increases on getting up and related to the movements.
Please discuss with your Doctors about the role of Gabapentine or Amitriptyline and such nerve pain suppressants and get started with a valid prescription and see the results.
Review MRI of the spinal cord and spine may help you the best.

I take both Gabapentin 100mg and 75mg Amitriptyline @ hs and have for almost 20 years for an unrelated neuropathy in my mouth due to a sinus surgery. Now knowing that, what's next? Increase those 2 drugs. I've not turned the stimulator on in 2 weeks just in case it was the issue. In your opinion, will this go away in time?
