Detailed Answer:
Hello Ms XXXXXXX

Thank you for choosing healthcaremagic for your health query.

I have gone through your problems carefully and understand your concerns.

Constant runny nose is a huge obstacle on a daily basis, and when you are a lot of medications for allergic rhinitis (which generally is the case), the allergic rhinitis can turn into something we call rhinitis medicamentosa, so a frequent gap between the treatment courses would be advisable to prevent this from happening.

Discuss this with your GP so that he/she keeps that in mind.

If you have no symptoms of brain ischemia such as recent loss in memory or recent difficulty in walking or talking, I would not worry about TIA/ITA as the likelihood would be minimal.

I would just ad this, what positive thing can you achieve by constant worrying? Consult your GP when you feel you have some symptoms and then forget about worrying over the problems when you don't have any symptoms, constant worrying will only make you miserable which you don't want to be.

As for simvastatin, if your cholesterol levels are fine, you may lower the dosage, but please discuss this with your GP before acting on it.

Please relax and wait for your US Doppler and CT scan, that would rule out any TIA... Rhinitis is a hard problem to treat, I would consider supplementing your symptomatic treatment with immunomodulators, these are a class of medicines that are basically prophylactic in nature, but will eventually reduce the severity of the disease over the long run, one example medicine is Montelucast, you should discuss adding this medicine with your GP as well.

I sincerely hope this addresses your concern adequately, please do write back to me if you need any further clarifications.

Wishing you good health.

Warm regards.
