Suggest Treatments For High Createnine In Old Age

My father who is aged 84 is having high Createnine level of 5.7 - he before 1 month had around 3.5 level - he does not have any high blood pressure, he is having ischemia but due to his old age doctor has advised not to do anything, as he may be having narrowing of some arteries in the brain - we have been regularly doing tests such as CT / MRI etc - he stays in India with my younger brother and is being taken care of medically on a very regular basis

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Impaired kidney function is common with aging. It is normally associated with risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking, overweight/obesity.

The main aspect of treatment is controlling any risk factors to prevent progression and treating any complications.
This would mean controlling any of the risk factors mentioned previously.

He may also need to be on supplements and replacement therapy such as vitamin d and calcium.

I hope this helps
