His IGE is was very high last year. Initially we used allopathy medicines but later stwitched to homeo. It is not totally cured but somewhat under control. He still gets lumps & swelling. Prevent from insect bite
Detailed Answer:
HI Dear
Welcome to the HCM,
Rainy season is notorious for the innumerous insects in the atmosphere.
Children are quite susceptible for the insect bite as their skin is quite soft, and also they do play in the garden/playground with sorts (open limbs).
Many times the insects are not visible to the naked eyes. These small creatures are even in plenty in our house like in small garden, toilets, beneath the beds, washed clothes and linen kept for the long time.
OVER ALL INSECT BITE PREVENTION IS THE TREATMENT.
Insects during their bite do inject poison in the skin of the baby,to fight/neutralize this poison many defense cells of the body do collect /die/burst near the injected poison leading to release of some noxious material causing the swelling and itching at the site.
During itching babies do itch by their nails causing bacterial infection at the site and thus causing the small infected boil also which in turn after healing left a black scar.
Prevention;
Keep the limbs covered by long pants, shirts, shocks and shoes.
Vacuum cleaning of the mattresses/bed sheets.
Iron the clothes/linen just before using.
Sunlight inside the room is good for the insect prevention in entering the room.
Mosquito repellent cream to be applied in the open areas of the bodies.
Apply immediately some antibacterial solution like G V paint or betadine lotion at the bite site. and also some ointment for the prevention of the itching (mild steroidal cream like betnovate cream).
Antihistaminic like cetrizine/atarax prevent/reduce the itching.
Hope the query is answered.
Please feel free for the further clarification.
Thanks
