Suggest Treatment For Anxiety And Depression While On Luvox
![default](/r/images/default.png)
wellbutrin; mirtazapine can be alternative.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.
Luvox is a SSRI drug and Wellbutrin is NDRI drug.
In simple terms, their mechanism of action as an antidepressant is different.
If luvox has stopped working for you, I think adding wellbutrin should help as it will broaden the spectrum of antidepressant action.
Regarding clonazepam, 0.5-1mg is a low dose. If you take 0.5mg at night for sleep and the dose requirement has not increased, you have still not developed delendence.
However, I understand your apprehension about clonazepam.
The alternative to this could be drug mirtazapine. This is an antidepressant with sedative property. This can help you sleep without clonazepam.
Kindly discuss this with your doctor.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
Thanks.

Also, I take a very low dose of Flecainide (50mg at night) For SVT. Would there be any drug interaction? Thank- you for your help
mirtazapine would be a safer choice.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
Bith drugs are not to be used together.
Either of the two drugs (wellbutrin and mirtazapine) has to be used.
Since you take flecainide, I would recommend the use of mirtazapine.
Wellbutrin can increase blood flecainide levels by drug interactions.
Mirtazapine has no significant drug interaction with flecainide.
Kindly discuss this with your doctor.
Hope this helps.
Please close the discussion if you are satisfied with the response and give your valuable feedback.
Take care.
Regards.
