Suggest Treatment For Anxiety And Depression
No brain tumor or psychosis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello! I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
First I will answer your last question. It is not a psychosis, a psychosis is when you have abnormal perceptions or interpretations, such as hallucinations (seeing things, listening sounds or voices which aren't actually there) or delusions, beliefs which are obviously not true (such as believing someone wants to kill you). So you present neither hallucinations nor delusions, no reason to think of psychosis.
No reason to think of brain tumor either. Usually has other signs such as progressively increasing headache, vomiting, weakness or numbness of the limbs on one side of the body, lack of balance or coordination etc, it is unlikely mood changes to be the alone presentation.
So you have issues of anxiety and probably depression. The history of concussions makes you more prone to such issues. Since the issue is persisting for weeks now and affecting your daily life perhaps it is a case where medication might be necessary apart from advice like relaxation exercises or sports like yoga.
Medication usually consists of antidepressants which also have very good efficacy for anxiety such as amitriptyline or a SSRI class antidepressant. However there use should be discussed with your primary physician as they are prescription drugs.
I remain at your disposal for further questions.
