Suggest Treatment For Asthma And Allergies

His asthma may not be adequately controlled and this has to be looked into.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
If your son is still coughing it means his asthma is not adequately controlled and you may have to step up his treatment. What inhaler is he taking? He should be taking inhalers having a long acting beta agonist and long acting steroid like salmetrol and fluticasone combination. He should take atleast 2 puffs twice a day on a regular basis. You may add a tablet of monteleukast levocetrzine daily as this is also an antiallergic. If still he continues to cough I suggest you consult a pulmonologist or an ENT to rule out any underlying throat or lung pathology. He may need a course of antibiotics and steroids which then can be prescribed by above specialists.
One more thing- hope he doesn't have acidity as that may also cause cough.
Hope this answers your query. If there are any more queries do post them and I'll be glad to answer them.
