Suggest Treatment For Atopic Dermatitis

Provisional diagnosis - Atopic dermatitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for posting the concern in HCM. From the photo attached in the reports section, my understanding is this is atopic dermatitis or hypersensitivity rash. Although some other rashes look similar to this, like Herpes infection etc, I think this is more likely to be due to atopic dermatitis.
Atopic dermatitis is a form of hypersensitivity reaction mostly due to allergy to pollen etc. A detailed history might have been more helpful. The following information would have been helpful -
1. Is there any pruritus?
2. Do you have fever associated with the rashes?
3. Is there any mucosa involvement?
You may follow the below mentioned advice under the prescription and guidance of your doctor -
1. Apply Flucort (Flucinolone) ointment locally twice daily.
2. Apply Calamine lotion locally 3-4 times daily, without mixing with Flucort
3. Tab Avil (Chlorpheniramine) 25 mg at bedtime.
Report after 3 days.
Please don't scratch or pick.
In case the rash involve any other body part, please report immediately.
You may also contact your local dermatologist for further evaluation.
I hope now you know what it seems to be and what can be done for the cure.
