Autism is pervasive developmental disorder which is characterized by limited speech development, poor social skills and repeated abnormal movements.

The disorder is treated by a team of doctors comprising child psychiatrist, child psychologist, speech therapist, occupational therapist and pediatricians among others. Since child psychiatrist leads the team of professional it will be better if you can see a child psychiatrist.
