Brief Answer:
emotional support animal
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through. You are certainly having a very bad pain and
depression. I routinely see many such pqtients in my clinic and I really understand how difficukt it is to spend each day with so much of pain.
I totally understand your disagreement to take the medicnes. But seeing so many patients ease out their pain with medicines, I cannot skip informing you about them. The medicnes which I found most effective for my patients are pregabaline ,
amitriptyline and
carbamazepine. One if them or in combination helps in reducing pain of neuropathy like in your case. Further treating depression with
fluoxetine orbvenlafaxine or escitalopram will make you more capable to handle this pain. Believe me the medications are very safe and are good enogh to take care of the pain and depression.
Regarding the emotional support animal, you are eligible fot the same and for that you need to submit a letter (below mentioned format) from a physician or a
psychiatrist. There is legally a good chance that you will get one . But there are two problems:
1. The letter has to be from a doctor practicing in your own country.
2. The doctor should have physically examined you and certified the amount of disability?
3. You should be under his care for a minimum duration of 1 month to be enable to certify you.
Our capacity to provide you with a letter fails in in these three clauses. Nonetheless I have provided you a letter below and see if it helps. But I will be sincere in admiting that it would be better to seek this letter from your treating doctor.
Dear Housing Authority/Landlord/Co-op Board
The person carrying this letter is my patient, and has been under my care since today. I am intimately familiar with her history and with the functional limitations imposed by her disability. She meets the definition of disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Housing Act, and the
Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Due to mental illness, she has certain limitations regarding social interaction/coping with stress/
anxiety, etc. In order to help alleviate these difficulties, and to enhance her ability to live independently and to fully use and enjoy the dwelling unit you own and/or administer, I am prescribing an emotional support animal that will assist her in coping with his/her disability.
