Suggest Treatment For Benign Enlargement Of Prostate

Question: Recently i have undergone AHC at SRL diagnostics and noticed that Prostate enlarged volume of 39.9 cc. checked PSA is 1.04 ng/ml , Urine culture (Aeroblc) result is "No bacterial growth at the end of 48 hrs of aerobic incubation" also Urofloemetry is at average flow rate of 2.93 ml/sec time taken to XXXXXXX flow 48.8 sec, what is the pre causion i have to take based on above, will it get cured by medision if so what is it? or any operation required ? please guide me with your opinion

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have bladder outlet obstruction due to Benign Enlargement of Prostate which is common at this age.

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Please post complete report of Uroflometry.
2) What is the post void urine residue reported on Ultrasound Scanning?
3) Do you have obstructive urinary symptoms like increased frequency,urgency,hesitancy poor stream etc?

Based on the findings that you have posted you have obstructive urinary symptoms due to BEP.

Please take Tomsulosin once daily .This will help to relax the smooth muscles in bladder neck and prostatic urethra and will help to improve urine flow and reduce frequency.

Thanks for reply. I consumes normally 5 litters of water dailly gradually morning 1.5 litters, after jogging 10 KM another 1 litter, 2 hours later BF gradually 1 litter till half an hour before lunch and after 2 hours till 6PM one litter. i was thinking due to above water consumption may be frequency is more, a bit urgency also. Thanks for your medician recommendation. I have uploaded uroflow report for your reference. is it necessary to go immediately for operation to address the issue, is my worry?

Your XXXXXXX flow rate is very low suggesting obstructive voiding due to BEP.

You can try Tomsulosin once daily for one month and observe for any improvement in urine flow and other symptoms.However this is not a permanent solution It is certain that You will need surgery (TURP) in near future .
