Suggest Treatment For Bleeding Eyelids
Question: I had a blood vessel burst on my left eye lid last night. What are the causes for this? Should I be concerned and how long will it take to heal. I take blood pressure medication and aspirin.
Brief Answer:
On the eyelid, there is really nothing to be worried about!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
Blood on the eyelids is most likely related to trauma which may have gone unnoticed to you. I will not want to think that this is in any way related to increased blood pressure causing this as more fragile vessels are located within the eye and brain and were not affected. For now, totally disregard this and do not worry about it unless something else comes up.
What are your blood pressure numbers? We would like to know about them.
I wish you well.
