Suggest Treatment For Blood In Cough And Sinus Infection
Question: Hi doctor
My dad had occurences of having blood in cough from past 6 years. It happened once in 7-8 months earlier. Tye doctors diagnosee it to be sinus infection and accordingly he underwent fess in XXXXXXX 2012. Post that he was fine for 18 months and the problem reoccured in november 2013. With some antibiotics he was fine and now it has reoccured some 20 days back. He had 3-4 occurences in these 20 days. Even the quantity is bit more. Arter irritation in throat when he tries to clear throat the blood came out. We have been visiting doctors byt tey say thrrr is some blood vessel rupture. Also according to them this is piriforme ecchymysosis. For the blood he takes tranostat tablet. The chest is fine according to physican and the ent doctor. Can you please guide.

1. Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
2. Malignancy.
I woukd like to know :
1. Is his chest Xray Normal?
2. What is the sputum for AFB report?
3. Any fever, weight loss?
4. ESR levels
5. Is he a smoker?
6. Any history of blood in vomitings?
7. Attach all his investigations.
