My girlfriend has an inflammed gullet - following an allergic reaction to antibiotics for her sinus infection. She experiences a lot of pain when she swallows. Milk appears to smooth the pain, but eating food is unbareable. What can I/she do to help?
She must be having acute gastritis due to antibiotic allergy or side effect. Kindly take antacid tablets like Pantoprazole, Omeprazole or Ranitidine. These tablets to be taken in empty stomach for better action. You can also add antacid syrups to alleviate her symptoms. Please avoid hot and spicy for for few days. Bland food is to be preferred.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
