Suggest Treatment For Body Aches And Shivering
Question: Husband complained of body aches..went to bed,started shivering for twenty minutes...he's a diabetic...blood sugar normal. No temperature. What should I do?

I can understand your concern
I would like to suggest you that most common cause of body ache associated with shivering is low sugar level ,but as you have mentioned sugar level is normal. Still I would like to suggest you that if sugar level is within lower range of normal still you can give him sugar.
Some time infection in body such as urinary tract infection or upper /lower respiratory tract infection for which diabetics are prone , can present with body ache and shivering . So to confirm the diagnosis it is very important to consult your physician as soon as possible.
Apart from this diabetes affects autonomic nervous system and may cause such symptoms.
For all these issues it is must to discuss with your physician.
