Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX welcome to Health care magic,
A high temperature with shivering can be due to--
Malaria, Urinary infection, viral fever--or many others.
It is better she is seen by a doctor for an antibiotic course since she is a Diabetic.
Till you see a doctor---
Take a bowl of tap water. Add after shave lotion and sponge her forehead and hands with this.
If she is not responding to crocin advance--give her Ibuprofen plus paracetamol combination (400 plus 500 mg) 1/2 tablet 4 times with Omeprazole 20 mg twice a day.

This will help bring down the fever and bodyache.
Give her plenty of water and non sweet drinks.
Check her blood glucose with a glucometer and make corrections so that her sugar is under control.
If the fever does not settle, see a doctor.
warm regards,

Thanks Dr. for the advice. We took her to a doctor and she's been given some medication based on the symptoms, and the temperature is back to normal. But only the blood test report will give a clear indication as to whether its an infection or malaria/dengue, which we'll get tomorrow.
