Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
If your daughter is a known case of asthma then please give her medications which were given earlier like bronchodilators and nebulisation or steroid aerosols. If the breathlessness is intense then she must go to a hospital and take emergency treatment. Until then please make her sit in a place where there is fresh air.
Common breathing problems include
chronic sinusitis, allergies, and asthma. These problems can cause a host of symptoms such as
nasal congestion, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, chest congestion, cough, wheezing,
labored breathing, and
shallow breathing.
The nasal passage is a pathway for viruses and allergens to enter your lungs. So the nose and sinuses are often associated with many lung disorders. A sinus or nasal passage inflammation may trigger reflexes and cause asthma attacks.
One can never tell if she is having a severe bout of asthma and this can be life threatening.
It is also possible that
migraine can trigger nausea, breathlessness and associated anxiety. It needs to be investigated in detail by doing clinical examination.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek
