Suggest Treatment For Broken Radius In Wrist

Unfortunately, I did NOT have an ORTHO reset the bone and it is 15 "degrees off."
My ORTHO has been telling me for the last 3 months that the bone has healed completely - pain and swelling may still occur - and of course, I am experiencing both
I am going to finally start a course of PT in about one week
If I know I have not re-injured my wrist by falling, can I feel confident that there are no new injuries and my wrist is just healing on its own?
Your wrist has healed.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
It has been almost 6 months since you broke your radius.
Physiotherapy will help in regaining the full range of movement around the wrist joint. The bone usually heals completely in 8-10 weeks. You need not worry. There is no bone injury now. You can go ahead with the exercises. The pain and swelling is due to the angulation and stiffness around the fracture site.
I hope this answers your query.

thank you so much - you have truly put my mind at ease
Needless to say, this has been quite an experience
I broke my wrist in 2000 roller blading - I had pins put in, and this result was so much better!
