Suggest Treatment For Bruise And Painful Blisters On Foot
Question: How do I treat my left foot that is bruised, swollen and has blisters on the top of the foot and toes. Very painful.

Thanks for your query and history,m albeit small and short.
Noted the history of bruised and swollen left foot with the blisters on the top of foot and toes and is very painful.
May I please know a bit more of history and get to see the photographs in different angles for me to know better.
- Since when has this happened?
- Any history of trauma or twisting?
- Any associated problems like fever, diabetes or so?
I would suggest you the general outline in such a case:
First of all, elevation above the heart level in lying down position.
Antibiotics
Anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen whichever suits you.
Local application of liquid povidone iodine to the whole area to make the area sterile.
Investigations of blood and urine
X-ray/MRI as may be necessary.
This is the broad outline of such a problem, we can discuss further once I get the photos and feedback.

No fever or diabetes. I fell this last Sunday so must have twisted my foot. I also hurt both knees so can only walk a little if I use two canes. Can't get out to go to the doctor. I do have arthritis of both knees. I have been using ice and elevating. Should I stop using ice? When I first try to stand up after elevating the foot really hurts. Feels like something probably blood is rushing to my foot and causes a lot of pain.

Well, ice works in the initial 6 hours the best and not later. Hence it may not be of any help now.
Pain on standing after foot elevation may be due to a fracture.

No way for me to go to a doctor. Why do I have the blisters? I'll stop the ice so will only elevate.
