Question: I fell down my steps and landed on my left forearm. Redness, brush burn (similar to rug burn) and pain. I don't believe it is broken. Any suggestions for the pain and should I be overly concerned

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry. Ice, antibiotic ointment, elevation, no weight lifting

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Thanks for the query.

Kindly apply antibiotics ointment of they are just brush burns. Ice the surroundings to offer relief from the inflammation. Keep the limb elevated over a pillow for the swelling to subside quickly. Don't apply any occlusive dressing bit rather leave it open for it to dry.

If it is painful to work with that arm, do not lift weights or do any strenuous activity to about 1 to 2 weeks.

Take pain miley like Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day for relief from the pain and inflammation.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Regards,
