Suggest Treatment For Bumps Above Intergluteal Cleft

Question: Burning uncomfortable bumps have developed right above my butt crack and near my vagina which also burn. I am 67 years old, post menopausal, and have had only one sexual partner the past 15 years. We have sex at most twice a month now which can be painful for me without lubricants. I'm not sure if this is related but two weeks ago I saw my doctor due to burning during urination and was given a one week antibiotic treatment for a uti, the first uti I've ever had in my life. This past week I've experienced constipation and have been dealing with a tremendously stressful family issue. Any idea what is going on with me? Is any of this related? Could I have an std? I'm 99% sure my husband is faithful. I can't get to my doctor till next week so I'd appreciate your advice.

Brief Answer:
Least likely STD but local bacterial infection due to other casues

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic!

Based on the history you have shared, it seems to be different entities rather being related. As burning micturition may ne due to UTI or due to irritation or due to those rashes present around genitalia which diffusely present like pain or burning. You needed to have a detailed urinalysis for pus cells and nitrites or leucocyte esterase. A lab test has got more accuracy than home strip tests for UTI and before commencement of antibiotics the ideal approach is to send urine for cultures. Using citrosoda sachets along antibiotics will help with burning.

As far as dryness is concerned, this is likely due to hormonal imbalances or vaginal atrophy which are both Ave related and post menopausal. Using lubricants in more amout or frequency durong such episodes will help.

The bumps can be due to local staph or other bacterial infection which seem less likely to be a STD. That needs evaluation by a dermatologist. For temporary relief you can use emolients to avoid fecal contamination and discomfort.

Avoid stressers as these altered bowel habits can be a sequelae of that. Use fibre containing diets woth adequate fluids and water which will help with both constipation and urinary burning. You can also use castor oil drops or lactulose solutions for adequate bowel movement and stool softening. Stay relax as most of these will be cured with in days with adequate amd appropriate medical intervention.

Hoping you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. You can also reach me directly through my profile in future, in case of any more questions, Regards.
