Suggest Treatment For Bumps And Itching On The Ankles

Question: ankles have some minor itching -- some small bumps - scratch then bleeds a little - have tried a fungus cream but to no avail

is there an over-the-counter ointment I can try before going to my dermatologist?

Yes. Topical calamine lotion is very effective in treating such type of itching.

Another combination of Polymyxin and bacitracin which are both ointments that are used to treat skin infections caused by bacteria , can be used in combination with hydrocortisone.

For severe itching hydroxyzine oral can be taken.
