Suggest Treatment For Burning, Swelling And Itching On The Fingers
Question: my fingers left hand, index and middle, started burning and swelling at the last joint, also itching. i checked for a bite and could see nothing. it lasted about five minutes and then subsided to a slight swelling on my index finger. Then I had a similar swelling , minor, on my right index finger, last joint

Thank you Dr. Rauf, the problem started when I was driving my car, I had not eaten anything in about 3 hours but I did consume two grilled hotdogs and macaroni salad with two shrimp for lunch. I am not allergic to any food that I know of and I never had the problem previously. I am on medication for high blood pressure and I take Diovan HCL. There was some swelling and no one else in the family was experiencing the problem.
We have four dogs in the house and one cat. I have never had any problems with the animals such as being allergic to dander.

- cetirizine one at night for 5 days
- ibuprofen thrice a day for 3 days
Hopefully you will see improvement in 2-3 days BUT if conditions remains same or aggravates then you need to visit hospital for further workup.
