Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Fortunately the area of skin involved is less, is not causing any functional restriction of the arm. There is minimal contracture at the wrist, some pigmentation is there.
Since the damage is not much, I think it is best to leave it alone.
In case there is contracture at hand movement, a surgeon can release it specifically.
For hyperpigmentation, laser technology may be somewhat effective.
Plastic surgery for the reconstruction maybe undertaken but I feel that the natural skin is quite healthy. Skin grafting may sometimes not heal properly.
Medicines will not help much.
I feel your child can just start living his life from here and not worry much about scars.
Hope I clarify it. If you have any doubts please let me know.

Brief Answer:
Pulsed XXXXXXX laser
Detailed Answer:
Hi
The dermatologists can better guide you with this because even laser therapy is known to have side effects. Pulsed XXXXXXX laser is considered safer and can be tried after consultation with your doctor (surgeon/dermatologist).
CO2 laser with specific parameters like wavelength 10 600 nm, power 10-15 W, radiation time 500microseconds has also been tried.
