Suggest Treatment For Burnt Skin On The Face
Use a topical steroid cream
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist).
I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
The peel seems to have burnt your skin at affected sites. This is a side effect.
Glycolic peel burn manifests as frosting during peel which subsequently crusts and falls off over the next few days. This usually happens if a peel of higher strength is used or is kept for a longer duration on face before neutralization or sometimes if the patient is already using some product like tretinoin or alpha hydroxy acids based products on face which make the skin sensitive and prone to this sort of a reaction to chemical peeling.
You may use a topical moderately potent steroid cream e.g flutivate cream or elocon cream, 2x daily at affected sites on face.
This should help resolve this side effect in about a week time. The burnt skin over this area would form crusts that would fall off in 3-5 days.

Regarding glycolic peel
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
There should be a gap of at least 2 weeks between sittings. Since 35% strength of glycolic peel was too strong it would be advisable to either opt for a lower strength of peel i.e either 20% glycolic peel or reduce the time for which the peel is kept on face e.g if last time 35% strength of glycolic peel was kept for 5 minutes then next time it would be safer to keep this strength of peel for 3 minutes on face.
In addition you should stop using all such medications on face which might predispose you for a chemical peel burn e.g tretinoin cream or products with alpha hydroxy acids. Talk to your doctor for more information.
