Suggest Treatment For Cancer In Oral Cavity
OSMF, MOUTH OPENING EXCERCISE.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
As far as there is no cancer in the oral cavity nothing to be panic, oral submucous fibrosis is a potentially malignant disorder. So when it is in the initial stage, it has to be treated. Get the whole body scan done and let me know the report details.
You can go ahead with mouth opening exercises. If there is no improvement with this, then you can go ahead with intralesional injections. You can also take antioxidants like multivitamins, it also helps in improving the mouth opening.
I hope my answer will help you. Take care.

Antioxidant, multivitamins.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback. If you can upload the images of the medicines given to you or if you can say the contents, i can tell you what it is.
It is not ethical to tell the trade names according to the rules of health care magic. If i am your treating doctor, i would have suggested multivitamins and antioxidants like vitamin B6, B12, vitamin A,D,E K.(Capsule lycopene or lycored).
I hope my answer will help you. Take care
Antioxidants, lycopene, turmeric
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your reply.
If he has not prescribe any medicines, nothing to worry. Prophylactically you can start with the above mentioned antioxidants and multivitamis.
You can buy capsule lycopene or lycored or lycostar(these are the various trade names of the multivitamins, buy any one of these), these contains the above mentioned multivitamins. You can take once daily for 1 month. You can consume more of food items containing turmeric, because turmeric is an antiinflammatory which reduces the inflammation and aids in improving the mouth opening.

therabite theray, intralesional injections
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your reply.
The Therabite jaw motion rehabilitation system is used along with surgery or intralesional injection. Basically, intralesional injection and surgery releases the fibrosed bands and these therabite system gradually increases the mouth opening and prevents the relapse of the treatment. Using therabite system alone is not effective. So discuss with your doctor and ask him about the mechanism of this therabite system and you can ask them how this system works without treating fibrosed bands alone by therabite system without intralesional injections or surgery.
If i am your treating doctor, i would have treated with intralesional injjections along with therabite syatem. Because injections releases the fibrosed bands and therabite system maintains the released fibrosed bands and prevents relapse.
I hope my answer will help you. Take care.
therabite, antioxidants, intralesional injections
Detailed Answer:
According to me its better to try in combination. Because one will release the bands and other will retain the increased mouth opening from relapsing. So you can ask him why cant you use both injections and therabite therapy together?
Otherwise, if there is no improvement in mouth opening after 6weeks, then again you have to start with injections and therabite therapy. So ask your doctor, what is the success rate using therabite alone in treating oral submucous fibrosis. Because, it is not used alone in treating OSMF. If he is giving a genuine explaination, then go ahead with therabite therapy. My advise is to take atleast antioxidants and multivitamins along with therabite therapy if he is not giving intralesional injections.
I hope my answer will help you.
Intralesional, steroid, hyaluronidase
Detailed Answer:
The injection contains steroids like dexamethasone and hyaluronidase enzymes, these breaks the fibrosed bands and increases the mouth opening.
These injections are given biweekly for 6-8 weeks. So ask about these drugs (injections) and ask them about the combination of therabite therapy along with intralesional injections.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
