Hi,

Tetralysal generally starts to work within a week. It should be continued for a period as advised by your doctor. Normally a course of 8 weeks of this antibiotic should be sufficient for your acne. Any continuation of this antibiotic beyond 8 weeks should be strictly under guidance of your doctor. In my opinion, you should immediately stop this antibiotic unless advised by your doctor. If such a long course of antibiotic is under guidance of your doctor, then you are advised to discus it with your doctor taking into consideration of benefits vs risks.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
