Brief Answer: look for danger signs as mentioned Detailed Answer: Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day The amount of injury will depend on the weight of mobile and height from which it has fallen. It's most likely to cause external injury. If the following criteria are fulfilled then there is no cause for concern. 1. No depression at site of impact 2. No vomiting 3. No abnormal movements of the body 4. Accepting feeds well 5. Crying has settled down. Slight swelling will usually be there at site of impact. Hot water fomentation using napkin soaked in hot water and intermittently applied will be helpful. Also Syrup Calpol 10 mg per kilogram per dose thrice a day will be helpful. If you notice any of the following consult a Pediatric Surgeon 1. Lethargic child 2. Refusal of feeds 3. Abnormal movements 4. Vomiting Mother can appreciate any subtle behaviour changes and can definitely appreciate something is not right. Do write to me about the progress. I see many such injuries and in majority it's only external injury . I reassure them and send them back after thorough examination. Take care Best Regards Dr Deepak Kishore MBBS, MS, MCH Consultant Pediatric Surgeon
