Brief Answer:
Following causes to pain when deep breathing in

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concern .

Having chest pain when taking deep breath might be related to many problems. As you have been diagnosed with Hcm, and already taking medications, I advise to run further tests to rule out cardiovascular problems first:
- ECG
- ecocardiogram
- stress test

Lung problems should be excluded through :
- chest Xray
- respiratory function test

Yet to my opinion, the pain you feel might be due to muscular-skeletal issues like intercostal arthritis.

For the moment, I advise to take pain killer (paracetamol, ibuprofen ) and observe if any improvement.

Hope it was of help!
