Suggest Treatment For Chronic Lyme Disease
This is probably ambien tolerance.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.
You have probably developed tolerance to ambien if you are taking ambien for sometime now.If you will stop it abruptly, you will have withdrawl symptoms. So,the plan should be to taper this drug slowly and stop over a period of time(like 2 to 3 weeks). Then you need to be off sleeping pills for some time(2 weeks to 4 weeks) ans then probably may be started on some other hypnotic,if the need is felt.
However, the basic principle remains the same.Sleeping pills are not to be taken for long periods persistently. They should be some intermittent drug free days.
Please decide with your treating physician to make out a plan for you, based on these considerations.
Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to answer else please close the thread, rate it and write a review as your rating will be of help to me.
