Question: My age is 23 and I am suffering from migraine from last 3-4 years. It was quite from last 2 years but now due to stress of for job preparation i am getting headaches. I visited a doctor 2-3 years ago and he prescribed me Divaa OD 500mg at that time. Right now I don't have time to visit a doctor and get treatment done because its crucial time for me, so I want to ask if i Can continue taking DIVAA OD 500 mg for 2 months, after that i can visit a doctor. But for now will it work ? Also any other medicine along with this tablet. Any help will be appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Yes, you can continue the drug and follow a few more instructions

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.

Migraine is a lifestyle associated disorder.
You need to follow a healthy lifestyle.

Avoid fasting, excessive tea or coffee or chocolates.
Take timely breakfast and lunch.

Avoid late night awakening. Night sleep should be 6-7 hours.

For migraine prophylaxis, many drugs are available like flunarizine, propranolol, topiramate, divalproate or amitriptyline.

DIVAA OD is Divalproate and can be continued for more than 2 months.
The duration of prophylaxis treatment is around 6 months.
The response may take 2-4 weeks.

Consult your doctor regularly to stay under supervision.
Other medications can be added if the response is not good at 4 weeks.

Hope you found the answer helpful.
