Question: KHi i have chronic nonspecific duodenitis and nonspecific antral gastritis confirmed by endoscopy. I am vomiting once a day daily. Vomiting continued for the past 8 months. No relief whatsoever. Biospy reports show focal blunting and shortening of villi and superficial gastric mucosa inflammation. Doctor says it's maladsorption. Can u please help me. I feel nauseated and vomit like all the time which is relieved only by anti vomiting medication. I am bloated and get growling or rumbling sounds in stomach and intestines. Please help me

Brief Answer:
Dietary intervention may help.

Detailed Answer:
Thankyou for asking here.
Welcome to the HCM.

Dear antral part and duodenum part are crucial parts for digestion and absorption. And villi are tiny hair like parts of intestine which help transferring complex food in form of simple food to the blood. For example if we eat a bread or fruit, intestine villi transfer this food type in form of glucose or fructose in blood with help of some enzymes.

So if there is inflammation or damaged villi then obviously there would be problem of digestion and absorption. But Since specific portion of villi can specifically absorb food.So some people may get these type of symptoms if one has eaten some type of food which can not be absorbed by that particular portion of villi. For example some people may get bloating nausea and vomiting after having gluten food ,some may get after eating protein food and some may get after eating carbs like lactose ,milk or particular food. Also try drinking cleaner water.

In nut shell, can you please rectify that have you ever noticed what exactly food types trigger these symptoms?
