Suggest Treatment For Chronic Pain In Knees After Multiple Surgeries
Question: I have severe chronic pain in both knees. I had a total knee replacement of my right knee in 1997 and a total replacement of my left knee in 2013. I also had a revision of the left knee replacement in 2014. Since then my left kneecap constantly shifts just laying in bed. My right knee in compensating for my left knee has also deteriorated to the point where I have to pick the leg up in order to get in bed. I have consulted three orthopedic surgeons and they tell me nothing can be done.
Brief Answer:
You might need revision of left knee.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that your patellar component or femoral component is not in right position.I would suggest you to send me x ray of the knee joint.Other option is to make soft tissue tight so that patella does not get slipped on outer side.
Please send me current x rays.I will try my best to help you.
thanks
