Suggest Treatment For Chronic Rhino Sinusitis

CRS, Two week trial with nasal steroid/steam, Sinus CT. I/A, Oto-Endoscopy.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. This seems to be Chronic Rhino Sinusitis (CRS).
2. In addition to the treatment that you have been using, an anti-allergic mucolytic, a nasal steroid spray and steam inhalation will help reduce your symptoms.
3. If the symptoms are not better after two weeks of these medications, get a plain Sinus CT Scan done. The headaches may be due to the chronic sinusitis or long term use of nasal decongestants containing xylometazoline (such as Otrivin). The ear pain is usually due to Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (ETD) and this can be assessed by ear drum examination and Impedance Audiometry (Tympanometry).
4. Yes, any asthmatic tendency will decrease if this allergic rhinitis is treated.
5. If you can upload endoscopic images of your eardrums, Sinus CT images and Impedance Audiometry graph, I will be able to give you an accurate assessment.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.

Continue Allergra-M, add Duonase, steam for 2 weeks. Upload the X-ray PNS.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. These sensations around the edges of the eyes and on the nose may be due to allergy, dryness or a mild infection..
2. Start with an anti-allergic such as cetrizine/ levocetrizine/ fexofenadine/ ebastine once a day, preferably after consultation with a local ENT and an Eye Specialist. Moisol eye drops can be used.
3. The timing suggests either a sleep disturbance or an allergy to something in the house and specifically your bedroom/ bathroom. Dust mite allergy, water temperature while washing the face, new soaps and so on may be the cause.
4. Some times, mild infections including fungal infections from rubbing the yes and nose (transferred from elsewhere in the body) may be the cause. Avoid self treatment for these and let a Skin Specialist check if the above treatment does not control the symptoms.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
