Question: Hi I have had a cold with some sinusitis. That has resolved except for a dry cough. Now my lower back is hurting with low grade fever.

Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
These are mild flu symptoms and require following steps to be taken..
Avoid smoking and cold drinks
Drink plenty of drinks including hot drinks
Take ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day for 3-4 days. It will take care of backache and fever
Take steam inhalation 2-3 times a day.
If dry cough is troubling you,diphenhydramine syrup can be taken 2-3 times a day.
You should be all right in next 3-5 days.
Consult a doctor if....
Fever starts hovering above 101
You start getting chills
If there is chest pain or wheezing or breathlessness
