Suggest Treatment For Confusion, Exhaustion And Headaches

Question: Hello. I had a positive Lyme Igm Western Blott last year. Tx with oral antibiotics for 1 yr. Specialist suggested PICC line due to gastro issues. In an attempt to avoid this and try something less invasive, I agreed to IV DMPS chelation. A week post first IV I continue to be fraught with weakness, had extreme gastro pain two days following and diapharesis. Bones started to hurt. Took high doses of oral vitamin d and calcium. Currently, a week later, continue with weakness, confusion, exhaustion, intermittent headaches, vision disturbances. I feel as if I have no cellular energy. Was not asked if I had an amalgum. Trying to figure out next step in re to recovering from post DMPS chelation. Is this normal or an acute mercury toxicity reaction brought on by the amalgum and/or my bodies inability to get rid of the free floating mercury that was not bound in order to be excreted? (not sure how to word). Blood pressure was 92/55. Thank you for any assistance that you may have to offer.

Brief Answer:
Lyme disease and mercury toxicity from dental amalgum

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
IgM western blot is considered positive for Lyme disease if two of the following three bands are present: 23, 39, and 41 kDa. What was your report?
Orally administered antibiotics are usually given for 30-60 days.

IV dimercaptopropanesulfonic acid (DMPS) chelation is administered in severe acute mercury poisoning.
Amalgam is an alloy of mercury with various metals used for dental fillings.
Amalgam is usually safe. However it seems you are undergoing treatment for mercury toxicity.

Please give further details like blood and urine mercury levels.
Toxicity from elemental or inorganic mercury exposure begins when blood levels >180 nmol/L (3.6 g/dL) and urine levels >0.7 mol/L (15 g/dL).
Organic mercury exposure is best measured by levels in blood (if recent) or hair (if chronic).
Chronic inorganic mercury poisoning is however best treated with N-acetyl penicillamine.
Please upload your case details and prescription.
