Brief Answer:
Do the following tests

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking in HCM

I can understand your concern

According to the history you explain the viral infection due to herpes zoster (shingels) has passed now.

But this cough and this kind of pain should be examined further for excluding the inflammation of the pleural spaces (the viscera that surrounds the lung).

Usually that is the origin site of pain from the lungs

If you were my patient i would recommend you to do the following tests:

Hemogram
CRP
Chest x ray

If they come negative than you should do nothing else but taking painkillers like Ibrufen orally twice for 3 or 4 days depending of the situation.

If they are positive than your doctor will prescribe you antibiotics (like Claritromycin) twice for a week.

Please discuss with your doctor for the above

Take cere and feel free to askme again
