Brief Answer:
With a normal EGD and USG, there are 2 possibilities on my list

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. As you do have a history of gastrotinestinal conditions, most doctor would lean towards a GIT cause, but as an ultrasound and an esophagogastroduodenoscopy have ruled out any abnormalities I would from my experience lean towards two possibilities:

1. Hormonal cause: More commonly seen in women, there are various hormones and enzymes that if not well balanced can cause some troublesome symptoms including nausea, abdominal pain, bloating, vomiting, etc; which may cumulatively look like a GIT condition.

I would thus recommend a female hormone profile, thyroid check, etc.

2. Stress, panic, anxiety or depression: Do not be alarmed by these being included on my list. If you feel overly stressed, panic easily, have anxiety issues, or are sad often or feel low often, then this can also result in the appearance of symptoms that you are presenting with.

But in some cases, these symptoms are also related to certain hormone or enzyme imbalances, but this can only be further investigated on if you lean more towards this category to be the cause.

I would love to hear from you on both possibilities, and how you feel about them so we can discuss what can be done next to help you ma'am, so please feel free to write to me about anything.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.

I do suffer from anxiety, depression( mostly from being so incredibly sick) panic disorder and stress. i have had my thyroid check before and have had many blood test but nothing comes up on my results, and my thyroid test came back clear. I have suffered from all mental problems my entire life though so i don't think they would be related. Hope to hear back soon on anything else it could possibly be. I have been having a ton of pain and discomfort along with insane naseua.

Brief Answer:
Need: 1. Exact written result of EGD, 2: all meal contents and details

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.

Could you please either attach the written result of your EGD to our discussion here, or email it to me at:

YYYY@YYYY

and please do mention 'ATTN: Dr. Shoaib Khan' in the subject line so it can be directed to me easily.

Or you could also choose to just type down the entire result of the EGD that has been given to you in printed form for my reference, it will be of great help in getting you better.

I do also have a second request from you ma'am, please start writing to me with elaborate details on your diet..

For example, if you had all these symptoms along with an increased urge to pass your bowels soon after having a meal I want you to immediately make note of everything you had to eat during that meal and write to me with that information so that we can work together to find out what food or drink seems to be unacceptable to your digestive system. So please start by writing to me with what you had yesterday for all your meals and in between them if you had all your symptoms yesterday.

I look forward to hearing from you. We shall work together to get you back to normal ma'am, do not worry, be patient and we shall find the source of the issue.

Best wishes.
Note: For further follow up on digestive issues share your reports here and Click here.
