Suggest Treatment For Constipation During Pregnancy
Question: I am 7 weeks pregnant and this afternoon I developed cramps. I think I am constipated. I am in bed for the last 5 hours and every time I get up I feel sicker and feeling as if I will faint. What should I do? Is there anything natural that can quickly relief constipation?
Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
You may try bananas with warm milk and honey to relieve constipation.
And take a lot of warm water with lemon in it too.
You should be able to have a bowel movement within an hour or so.
Take rest as you are feeling faint and sick.
You can take Doxylamine succinate for the nausea and general feeling of sickness.
Try some ginger slices and lemon wedges.
All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further.

Thank you for your reply.
I tried this but it didn't help. I just wanted to go to the bathroom and I felt so faint I almost fell on the floor. I am in bed now and this is my spouse typing. Is it normal to feel so faint in early pregnancy?
I have also the symptoms of Vasovagal syncope which I read are getting worse in pregnancy. what should I do?

Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
It is not normal to have such severe fainting symptoms during pregnancy.
Vasovagal syncope may explain the severity of symptoms.
Please take lots of fluids, atleast 5 litres per day.
Avoid getting up with a start.
Please rest until this passes.
You may use a bedpan if the fainting is so severe.
Please consult your Neurologist to tailor your medications for syncope appropriate to your pregnancy.
Take care, and take bedrest until you are better.
Sleep and rest will help.
