Question: Good evening. I had an issue with my eye 2 days ago, felt like something was in it. When I looked in mirror I was not able to see anything, it hurt, kept watering, felt like I scratched my cornea, but not consistant would come on for a few hours then go away, always to return. I took a closer look, with magnifying glass, an in the whote area of my eye (closest to nose) I noticed a couple small spots blue in color and it was visible that the texture was different. I flushed with eyewash, symptoms are gone but I noticed what looked like a lil hole, not in the blue patches! Later that night I had no pain or tearing, but larger area of blue, texture looked the same as the rest of eye. Today no pain but now BOTH eyes the whites are now blue. what could be the cause. I'm not one to go running to the ER for every little ailment. Is there something that specifically could cause this? Should I deem it an EMERGENCY and go to ER? I am feeling great no colds or illnesses currently!

Brief Answer:
It can be because of corneal abrasion.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I reviewed your history.
It seems like corneal abrasion. This requires examination by ophthalmologist to look for any foreign body in the eye.
Since you have done the preliminary procedure of eye wash and symptoms are gone now I don't think there is real necessity for going to emergency room.
You can start using any of the antibiotic eye drops like Moxifloxacin eye drops.

If possible do send me a photo of the affected eye so that I confirm the diagnosis and advice you accordingly.

You can consult your ophthalmologist next day.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
