Brief Answer:
Montaz is a relatively safe antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query

In this age cough is mostly due to some viral infection. But in viral infection symptoms usually improve within 7-10 days although cough may persist sometimes for longer duration say 3-4 weeks.
If she has passed pink or red color stool only once then that may be due to medication. But I would get a stool test done for occult blood to be on safer side.
Montaz contains antibiotic combination of ceftriaxone and tazobactum. The dose of ceftriaxone is 50-75 mg/kg/day.
The weight of a 6 month old baby is some where around 5-6 kgs.So if we calculate the prescribed dose is very less.
Like other antibiotics montaz can cause drug related reaction. The side effect of montaz can be skin reaction, nausea, vomiting and dirrhea.Rarely it may cause severe diarrhea and bleeding. The side effects also depend on the individual metabolism.
So in the given dose I won't get overly worried and will watch for the severe side effects if any.In case of severe side effect consult your physician immediately.
I have few queries
Is the symptom worsening?
Is general condition deteriorating?
Is there history of decreased oral acceptance?
Is there any associated respiratory distress?
In that case I would like to get an Xray done along with some blood test to rule out bacterial infection.
If there are no associated symptoms and child is active and playful,I will continue conservative management like soothex, boxep and nasal saline.

Regards
