Brief Answer:
intertrigo with fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

IN areas of increased moisture, heat and friction such as beneath the breasts, inflammation tends to occu
This may also occur in the axilla and in the groin area.

This inflammation or irritation of the skin is called intertrigo.

Because of the moisture, heat and friction, a fungal infection can also develop. This would be contributing to the odor.

Treatment: (1)need to reduce moisture, heat and friction by keeping folds cool and dry
Skin surfaces should be kept separated , if possible , using cotton or linen clothes
Avoid any tight or chafing clothing

(2)You would need to consider the use of a mild steroid cream, topical anti fungal and barrier protection cream (prevents friction)
Eg of barrier protection would be zinc or petrolatum

Topical steroid would be hydrocortisone

Topical antifungals- bactrafen, nystatin, nizoral, canesten, miconazole

There is a combination cream called XXXXXXX goo that contains hydrocortisone, nystatin and zinc paste but if this is not available , obtaining the products separately is an option

Once you can reduce the moisture/heat/friction and use the creams, the area should completely heal in 1 to 3 weeks.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
